Question 1

Where is the facility on SW 87th Ave located in Miami?

Accepted Answer

StorQuest Self Storage is located at 13301 SW 87th Ave in Miami, FL 33176, in the South Miami area near the intersection of SW 87th Avenue and SW 133rd Street, just south of Killian Drive. From Killian Drive (SW 112th Street), head south on SW 87th Avenue and the facility will be on your right. From the Palmetto Expressway (SR-826), exit at SW 120th Street or Kendall Drive, head west, then turn north on SW 87th Avenue and StorQuest will be on your left. The location is convenient for residents throughout Palmetto Bay, Kendall, Pinecrest, and Kendale Lakes, and is easy to reach for students and faculty at Miami Dade College and the University of Miami campus corridor. The facility sits within the South Miami suburban area, making it a practical choice for anyone in the broader Kendall and Palmetto Bay communities who wants climate-controlled storage close to home without traveling into the downtown Miami or Miami Beach area.

Question 2

What is indoor self-storage used for?

Accepted Answer

Indoor self-storage units at StorQuest in Miami are used for a wide range of personal, household, and business needs. Residents in Palmetto Bay, Kendall, Pinecrest, and Kendale Lakes commonly use indoor storage units when moving between homes or apartments, during a home renovation or remodel, to clear out a garage or spare room, to store seasonal items like holiday decorations or sports equipment, or to keep furniture, clothing, artwork, and other belongings in a secure, climate-controlled environment. Students near Miami Dade College and the University of Miami use indoor storage units between semesters, during study-abroad programs, or when transitioning between housing arrangements. Businesses and remote workers throughout South Miami use indoor storage units to hold business records, office equipment, product samples, and inventory in a convenient location close to where they operate. Because every unit at this location is climate-controlled, all customers benefit from a stable, air-conditioned storage environment regardless of which size unit they choose.

Question 3

Should I get an air-conditioned storage unit in Miami?

Accepted Answer

For virtually all customers storing items in Miami, an air-conditioned, climate-controlled storage unit is strongly recommended. South Florida’s climate is one of the most challenging for stored belongings with year-round heat, extremely high humidity, heavy summer rain seasons, and the potential for mold, mildew, and moisture damage make unconditioned storage a risk for most types of items. At StorQuest on SW 87th Avenue, every storage unit is climate-controlled, meaning all units maintain regulated temperature and humidity levels to help protect your belongings from Miami’s heat and moisture. Items particularly vulnerable to South Florida conditions include wood furniture, electronics, photographs, artwork, leather goods, clothing, documents, business records, musical instruments, and any item that absorbs moisture or warps under heat. Whether you are a Palmetto Bay or Kendall homeowner storing household goods, a Pinecrest or Kendale Lakes resident clearing out a home, a student near Miami Dade College or the University of Miami storing personal belongings between terms, or a business owner in the South Miami area holding inventory and records, climate-controlled air-conditioned storage at StorQuest gives your items the best chance of coming out in the same condition they went in.

Question 4

What do I need to rent a storage unit at StorQuest in Miami?

Accepted Answer

Renting a storage unit at StorQuest on SW 87th Avenue is straightforward. You will need a valid government-issued photo ID, a credit or debit card for payment, and renter’s insurance for the items you plan to store (required for all customers). A one-time $29 administrative fee applies at move-in. All rentals are month-to-month with no long-term commitment, so you can store for a few weeks, a semester, or indefinitely depending on your needs. You can reserve a unit online at storquest.com with no upfront deposit and move in when you are ready. StorQuest serves customers from Palmetto Bay, Kendall, Pinecrest, Kendale Lakes, and the Miami Dade College and University of Miami areas. Question 5

How do I access my storage unit at StorQuest in Miami?

Accepted Answer

StorQuest on SW 87th Avenue offers both ground-level and elevator-accessed indoor units, so you can choose the access option that best fits what you are storing. Ground-level units allow convenient access without using the elevator, which can be useful for heavier items or for customers who visit frequently. Elevator-accessed units are reached through the building’s secured interior elevator and are available across multiple floors. Your personalized access code lets you enter the facility during access hours. Extended access hours are available at this location beyond standard access hours. Please speak to the store manager for details on arrangements that work for your schedule. Whether you are a Palmetto Bay or Kendall resident who needs flexibility around work hours, a student near Miami Dade College or the University of Miami who visits on evenings or weekends, or a Pinecrest or Kendale Lakes customer who makes regular trips to retrieve or add items, the combination of ground-level and elevator options makes access convenient for most situations. Online account management and 24/7 customer support through storquest.com are always available regardless of facility access hours.

Question 6

What secure storage features does StorQuest offer in Miami?

Accepted Answer

StorQuest Self Storage on SW 87th Avenue is designed to protect your belongings with multiple layers of security. The facility features electronic access controlled by a personalized unique code, so only authorized tenants can enter the building. Digital surveillance cameras monitor the property continuously, covering entrances, hallways, elevators, and common areas throughout the facility. All units are housed in a secured, climate-controlled indoor building, which adds protection beyond what outdoor or drive-up storage provides. This helps keep your belongings shielded from both environmental exposure and unauthorized access through secured interior corridors. Ground-level units and elevator-accessed units are both within the same secured indoor perimeter. Whether you are a Palmetto Bay or Kendall homeowner storing furniture and valuables, a Pinecrest resident holding artwork, electronics, or documents, a student near Miami Dade College or the University of Miami keeping personal items in a safe place, a Kendale Lakes professional storing business records and inventory, or anyone in the South Miami area looking for a trusted indoor climate-controlled storage option, StorQuest is designed to give you confidence that your belongings are protected in a clean, secure, air-conditioned environment.
