StorQuest will be on your right within a few blocks. From I-580, take the High Street exit toward East Oakland and head south on High Street. The facility is a convenient self-storage option for residents and businesses throughout East Oakland, Fruitvale, Alameda, and the surrounding East Bay communities. What size storage unit do I need?

The right unit size depends on what you plan to store and for how long. StorQuest on High Street offers one of the largest selections of climate-controlled unit sizes in the East Bay, from small 4x5 lockers to extra-large 10x29 units. Small units are ideal for boxes, documents, clothing, and personal items. They are popular with students at Laney College storing belongings between semesters, and with residents in Fruitvale and East Oakland clearing out closets or garage space. Medium units hold the contents of a one to two-bedroom apartment and work well for families near Lake Merritt or Alameda during a move or renovation. Large and extra-large units accommodate full household moves, bulky furniture, and business inventory. Businesses throughout East Oakland and near Oakland International Airport use these for ongoing commercial storage needs. If you are unsure which size is right, the StorQuest team is available 24/7 to help.

What is indoor self-storage used for?

Indoor self-storage at StorQuest on High Street serves a wide range of household, student, and business needs across East Oakland and the surrounding East Bay communities. Every unit at this location is climate-controlled, protecting belongings from temperature changes and humidity year-round. Residents in East Oakland, Fruitvale, and Alameda use indoor units when moving, downsizing, or renovating. Students at Laney College rely on secure, climate-controlled storage for electronics, furniture, and personal items between semesters or during housing transitions. Businesses near Lake Merritt and Oakland International Airport store inventory, records, and equipment in a clean, temperature-stable environment. Ground-level access and elevator access make it straightforward to load and unload regardless of unit size. Extended access hours from 6am to 9pm, seven days a week, mean StorQuest works around most schedules without extra coordination.

Are storage units climate-controlled in Oakland?

Every unit at StorQuest on High Street is climate-controlled, so all customers benefit from a stable storage environment regardless of which size they choose. The Bay Area experiences mild but variable temperatures, coastal fog, and seasonal humidity that can affect sensitive belongings over time. Climate-controlled storage maintains a consistent temperature and humidity level year-round, providing added protection for furniture, electronics, clothing, artwork, documents, collectibles, and business records. This is especially valuable for Fruitvale and East Oakland residents storing household goods long-term, students at Laney College protecting electronics and valuables between semesters, businesses near Oakland International Airport keeping inventory and records in optimal condition, and Alameda residents who want a reliable off-site storage option close to home. ADA-accessible units are also available at both ground-level and elevator-accessible configurations.

How do I access my storage unit at StorQuest in Oakland?

Accessing your unit at StorQuest on High Street is straightforward. Your personalized gate code lets you enter the facility during access hours, which run from 6am to 9pm seven days a week. Ground-level units are accessible without an elevator, making them a practical choice for heavier or bulkier items. Upper-floor units are served by elevator for easy loading and unloading at any time. The facility is monitored around the clock by 24-hour digital surveillance cameras, so your belongings are protected whether you are on-site or not. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm, with extended access available beyond those windows. Online account management at storquest.com lets you pay your bill and manage your rental 24/7, and the StorQuest customer support team is also available by phone around the clock.

What secure storage features does StorQuest offer in Oakland?

StorQuest on High Street is equipped with security features designed to protect your belongings at all times. The facility uses electronic gate access managed by a personalized unique code, so only authorized tenants can enter the property. Digital surveillance cameras monitor the facility 24 hours a day, covering hallways, entry points, elevator areas, and common spaces throughout the building. Every unit is climate-controlled, adding further protection by maintaining stable temperature and humidity conditions year-round. The fully enclosed indoor facility provides a secure environment for all stored items. Whether you are a resident in East Oakland or Fruitvale storing household goods, a student at Laney College keeping electronics and valuables safe between semesters, a business near Oakland International Airport or Lake Merritt securing inventory and records, or an Alameda resident looking for a dependable long-term storage option, StorQuest on High Street is designed to give customers throughout the East Bay confidence that their belongings are protected.
