With relatively easy access from the U.S., Canada’s stunning landscape offers experiences unlike any other around the world. Massive mountain ridges with snowy peaks, expansive terrain with endless exploration opportunities, and wildlife like you’ve never seen before.

Canada is a must-see destination in your lifetime, but when it comes to skiing, you won’t regret the time you spend at these incredible destinations. StorQuest is bringing you an epic list full of action-packed adventures when you’re ready to get out there and carve some snow in Canada.

British Columbia

The province of British Columbia hosts a generous list of ski resorts, making it one of the better destinations to hit the slopes in Canada. Here are the best slopes in British Columbia:

  • Whistler Blackcomb
  • Revelstoke
  • Fernie Alpine
  • Panorama Mountain Resort
  • Red Mountain Resort

Whistler is the biggest ski resort in North America. It offers up all levels of terrain, freestyle parks, bowls, and backcountry trailblazing and serves as the prime spot for anyone looking to do their winter sport the right way. The only downside? The inevitable crowds and extra expenses that come with a world-renowned ski resort.

For those looking for more of a thrill ride, Revelstoke boasts North America’s largest vertical drop and epic groomed courses. Fernie Alpine is another coveted slope for experts, serving up steep runs with awesome powder. Revelstoke has an excellent town a few minutes away from the resort, but Fernie Alpine has less to offer in the way of après amenities.

Québec

Québec has some of the more stylish and modern ski resorts. Though the province’s skiers have a heavy predilection for mogul skiing, there are plenty of well-groomed slopes:

  • Mont Tremblant
  • Le Massif de Charlevoix
  • Mont Sainte-Anne
  • Bromont
  • Mont Orford
  • Mont Sutton

Those looking for nightlife to complement a full-blown winter adventure will appreciate Mont Tremblant’s European vibes. The slopes offer a lot for any level, including over 40 expert trails. Bromont offers awesome expert slopes, with over 40 percent of the mountain being dedicated to double-black diamond adventurers.

Le Massif de Charlevoix does well to satisfy expert skiers, with great verticals and enchanting vistas. Mont Sainte-Anne isn’t as picturesque as some of the other resorts, but will deliver a variety of great runs, including moguls and steep glades.

Alberta

Banff is an excellent location for skiing and snowboarding in Alberta, with three resorts within a 45-minute drive from each other.

  • Lake Louise
  • Sunshine Village
  • Mount Norquay

If you’re looking for breath-taking scenery and full-breadth, well-groomed runs, Lake Louise is your spot, delivering for all levels. Sunshine Village accommodates every level, and the resort stays open for six months, which is the longest season in the country.
