'StorQuest For A Cause’ Spotlight: SeaTrees

With each new storage unit lease, StorQuest contributes a dollar to a charity partner such as SeaTrees, which is actively dedicated to restoring and preserving our coastal ecosystems.

SeaTrees plants, protects, and restores blue carbon coastal ecosystems around the world to reverse climate change. Keep reading to learn more about why StorQuest For A Cause supports the amazing achievements this organization is making.

SeaTrees: Planting Hope, Preserving Oceans

SeaTrees is committed to supporting sustainable development and is aligned with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) designed to address various global challenges impacting the well-being of people and the planet. By collaborating with its core conservation partners, SeaTrees is dedicated to preserving, reforesting, and safeguarding coastal ecosystems worldwide while supporting the individuals who rely on them. Through these projects, SeaTrees works to reduce climate change impacts, increase land and sea biodiversity, protect endangered species on land and in the ocean, create sustainable jobs, alleviate poverty and hunger, support education and gender equality, and more. These goals underscore the interconnectedness of global challenges and the need for collaborative efforts to achieve sustainable development.

Kelp Carbon Sequestration

SeaTrees is helping to educate the world about the benefits of Kelp Carbon Sequestration, a fascinating process involving underwater superheroes - kelps - that play a critical role in capturing and storing carbon dioxide to combat climate change. Kelps are giant seaweeds that grow in underwater forests along coastlines. As they grow, kelp forests absorb carbon dioxide from the water through photosynthesis. When kelp reaches the end of its life cycle or is consumed by marine life, the carbon absorbed throughout its growth is stored away. This stored carbon doesn't re-enter the atmosphere, effectively helping to reduce the greenhouse effect and mitigate climate change.

Making a Deep Impact Across the Globe

On World Mangrove Day 2023, SeaTrees proudly announced an extraordinary milestone of planting 3 Million SeaTrees across all their project sites and types. Here is an overview of where the SeaTrees were planted:
