Whether it’s your board, bike or helmet, keep your gear in fighting shape with these tips to ensure your stuff is ready to rally when adventure calls.
1. Ditch the Dust:
Before you toss your gear in the garage for the off-season, wash off the dust and mud with warm water and dish soap to keep your gear in top shape with that straight-from-the-store look.
2. Wax On, Wax Off:
If your gear requires wax like a snowboard or skis, be sure to apply some to seal the base and prevent it from drying out.
3. Get Loose:
With a screwdriver, loosen any bindings with screws that keep the footholds in place. A little wiggle room allows your bindings to stay warp free during the off-season.
4. That’s a Wrap:
Regardless of where you plan on storing your gear, it is best practice to wrap your gear to prevent rust or dust. Wrap in plastic or the bag it was sold in so it’s ready to rock in months to come.
