Cindy Daniel, Store Manager of the StorQuest Economy facility on North Fwy in Fort Worth, Texas, served as Private First Class in the US Marine Corps. Cindy enlisted as a form of self-improvement, and because of the proud look of the blue dress uniform. The Marines taught Cindy to take initiative, to be dependable, and to have courage. “I use some of the traits I learned in the military to make my store run smoothly”, she says. “One of my strengths is being able to make things run as efficiently as possible”. Cindy loves spending her free time attending Camp Gladiator workouts, where she plays with fire hoses, flips tires, and bear crawls, among other intense exercises.

Shan Daniel, Store Manager of the StorQuest Self Storage facility on N. Normandale in Fort Worth, Texas, served as E-4 Senior Airman in the US Air Force. Shan enlisted because he had a desire to serve his country. One of the biggest impressions his military service left on him was the importance of mutual respect with others. “My time in the Air Force taught me that giving respect is what earns respect”, he says. In his free time, Shan is an avid video gamer, a passionate sports fan, and a believer in the power of kindness.

Monique Owens, Store Manager of the StorQuest Express location on NE 1st Blvd. in Gainesville, Florida, is the daughter and granddaughter of two US Marine Corps Veterans. As a member of a tight-knit military family, Monique’s father’s time in the service taught her the importance of selflessness and sacrifice. “One of the fondest memories I have of my father is his charitable heart”, she says. “Every Christmas we would start our day by feeding those less fortunate and bringing gifts and fruit baskets to the elderly. It's a tradition that will always be dear to my heart, and I try to help others as much as I can. I truly believe in giving back and paying it forward!”.

Marshall Parker, Assistant Store Manager of the StorQuest Self Storage facility on Mercey Springs Road in Los Banos, California, served as a Specialist E-4. Marshall’s time in the Army has made him more disciplined and respectful to people from all walks of life. “I show respect for customers and co-workers, abide by the rules of the company and orders from my supervisors”, he says. When he’s not working, Marshall enjoys volunteering in his community.

Jeff Darrow, Store Manager of the StorQuest Self Storage Kalamath Street location in Denver, Co., served as E-5 Sergeant in the US Army. Jeff enlisted with his family in mind and says that one of the ways his military service impacted his life is by providing him the ability to treat people with respect. “I learned a lot of lessons in the Army, but most of all, I learned to take life one day at a time because tomorrow is not promised”, he says. Some of Jeff’s favorite things to do include spending time with his wife and kids at football, soccer and roller derby games.
