With temperatures on the rise, it’s tempting just to stay indoors. In fact, it’s a great reason to finish up some projects that have been put off in lieu of summer adventures. These three projects will help you get organized indoors when it’s too hot to head outside.
- Create a “Drop Zone”: Between all of your summer fun, it is easy for your favorite gear to be tossed and lost across the house. Create an organized “drop zone” near your door where everything has its place. This can be as easy as adding some coat hooks for backpacks and a shoe tray to toss those snorkel and flippers.
- Clean Out the Fridge: There’s no better way to stay cool in the heat than spending time in front of an ice cold fridge and freezer. Use this time to ditch expired food and leftovers and create a new organization system to arrange your favorite summer snacks.
- Season Swap Your Closet: Dedicate some much needed time to organize your closet this summer. Swap out your warm winter sweaters to make room for sun hats and swimsuits. While you’re at it, you can ditch that 90s sweat suit and any hand-me-downs you haven’t worn in months. You’ll be amazed what some decluttering can do.
So set aside your excuses this summer, and make it happen!
