Hike Through French Creek State Park

With almost 8,000 acres of protected land, French Creek State Park has 25 different hiking, biking, and running trails to explore. Take an easy, but longer route along Horse-Shoe Trail for a relatively flat 9.3-mile trek. Go for a hike through one of the more moderate trails, or spend the day trekking along the French Creek Long Loop trail for a challenging 11-mile journey.

Paddle the Schuylkill River

Nothing says outdoor adventure more than hopping on a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard and treading some beautiful water. The Schuylkill River winds its way through some of the most stunning parts of Pennsylvania’s landscape. Gear up and power your way up and down the river for an awesome upper body workout and plenty of views along the way. Plus, there are countless launching spots along the river to make beginning and ending your outing a breeze.
